# Visualization

iBESO imports the pre-bulit look-up table technique as the post-processing method to smooth topologcially optimized results. More details about this method can be found [here](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/362536631_Smoothing_topology_optimization_results_using_pre-built_lookup_tables).

The smoothing mode can be cancled by clicking the "Smoothing Toggle" in the [Options Panel](/ibeso/gui/options-panel.md), as shown in Fig. 1.

After cancling the smoothing mode, the optimizers show the original topologically optimized results with zig-zag boundaries (see Fig. 2).
